Even though you have doubled-checked the defendant's address for accuracy before sending us your papers to be served, we sometimes find that the address provided is not current or it may otherwise be unclear where the defendant is located.
This is a good time to review your file. Look for any information that you may have that would be helpful to us in locating your defendant. Ask your client if they have any further information. Is there someone who knows the defendant that we can contact? Do you have a copy of their driver's license?
If none of the above proves helpful, Iowa Process Service can provide investigative research to assist in locating a defendant.
